So, tell us a bit about yourself and your business?
Hi, I’m Leonie Antione-Djoyi. I am a business-minded artist who loves solving problems and want to make a massive impact in people’s lives. For this reason, I have developed Mullys Haven into providing products that range from fashion, personal styling, gadgets, groceries, and more.
Also, What do you think are the challenges microbusiness owners and startups face nowadays?
The economy plays a big role in getting assets and resources such as grants and foreign funding. The economy has had a massive impact in the increases in the standard of living.
What sounds more appealing to you, a beach vacation or a tour of the city vacation?
A beach vacation as the beach is my peace haven.
What made you start your own business?
At a young age, my family had the culture of going to the malls after church so we got our own store which I managed from the age of 10. It was from there that I developed a thing for accounting. I noticed that many people would go into malls to window-shop and I wanted give those people the opportunity to upgrade their lifestyle and buy the things they would normally window shop for without breaking their budget.
What does the word success mean to you?
Because I am a big dreamer and achiever, this means have to service about 5000 clients recurring with my brand both locally and internationally.
I would also like to build a charity organization that will take people off the streets and provides them with vocations that will help them improve their lives.
Are you a cat or dog person?
I am a dog person. I love dogs.
We know that social media plays a big role in marketing products and services, what is your preferred social media platform for your business?
I prefer to use Instagram as it’s more diverse and links to Facebook and Whatsapp.
What would you like to see your business achieve for the year ahead?
To close external contracts and be able to generate actual day-to-day revenue and to ascertain what people like.
What was the first thought that came to your mind when you got your first client?
I was very excited. I was also worried for everything to go smoothly and not have logistic or quality issues. It was also nice to have someone have faith in me.
What 3 words describe your business?
Diverse, top-notch and impactful.
Finally, What advice would you give to young entrepreneurs and microbusiness owners like you?
To start. Don’t stall on the project or thought. In the process of starting, you will get to discover how far, limited or unique you want your business to be.
