The Amber Grant was established in 1998 with one objective in mind: to remember the memory of Amber Wigdahl, a remarkable young woman who died at the age of 19 before completing her entrepreneurial goals.
WomensNet continues this tradition today, proudly awarding at least $30,000 in grants each month to various grant winners, including two $10,000 Amber Grant recipients.
Every month, the judges go over all of the applications and choose five finalists. The monthly $10,000 Amber Grant winner will be one of those finalists. Each of the other four finalists will get $1,000. Additionally, Each month’s $10,000 Amber Reward recipient is eligible for a year-end grant of $25,000.
The $10,000 Amber Grant is available to any woman entrepreneur who completes the application (for the month in which the application is submitted).
We can’t presume there won’t be any obstacles that jeopardize the applicant’s trustworthiness. If a grant is awarded, each applicant must explain what she plans to do with the funds. Make a plan for how she’ll spend the $10,000 and the $25,000 annual award. Calculate the cost of what is needed, such as new equipment, Facebook ads, or materials. All of this knowledge is essential.
