The New York State Council on the Arts/ New York Foundation for the Arts Artist Fellowship is a $7,000 unrestricted cash grant available to artists residing in New York State or one of its Indian Nations.
The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) believes fundraising is essential in developing artist projects.
The Fiscal Sponsorship program at the New York Foundation for the Arts provides assistance to artists of all disciplines. It provides tools that can help them develop creative projects, build organizations, and create sustainable careers.
Artists are some of the most creative and resourceful thinkers in our communities. They are multi-skilled therefore bringing joy, interaction, and inspiration.
Artists not only create important works but also provide thoughtful critiques of different aspects of society. That combined with thoughtful community involvement can bring about social progress.
The NYFA provides assistance, resources, and opportunities to the creative community.
This grant is given out over a three-year period in fifteen different disciplines (five categories per year), and the application is free. This Fellowship is not intended to fund a project, but rather to fund an artist’s vision or voice at all stages of their artistic development.
Applications for the 2022-23 award cycle will open in the fall of 2022.

Craft/Sculpture, Digital/Electronic Arts, Nonfiction Literature, Poetry, and Printmaking/Drawing/Book Arts.
